The Bushin Ryū is a school of traditional Japanese Bu-jutsu (Martial Arts) martial arts directly formulated by the Founder Mukaida Takeshi Sōke in response to the necessity to more efficiently transmit the traditions he had mastered during his lifetime.

Today, the study of Bu-jutsu or Budō (Martial Ways) is primarily a means of self-perfection and healthy physical and psychological activity. In addition, it is a deep study of the fundamental cultural and philosophical aspects of Japanese history, which should be preserved and passed on to future generations.

As regrettably often happens in many larger organizations, at the change of each generation of headmasters some controversy may arise, and internal dynamics and politics could cause changes in the aim, direction, and transmission of the system. In addition, antiquate internal rules that have no place in the current society and old-fashioned sentiments towards a multicultural environment in traditional Japanese Budō can create unnecessary aggravations that only steal away from the core teachings of harmony, peace, and growth, and should not be limited by wealth, gender, nationality or beliefs. Clearly understanding these risks that may affect certain Budō circles, Mukaida Takeshi Sōke decided to establish his own school.

Bushin Ryū preserves the Kōryū (old schools) and other lessons mastered by its founder Mukaida Takeshi Sōke, and through its current Headmaster, so to be passed on to future generations. It is primarily composed by three parts, each incorporating the curriculum and teachings of the Kōryū methods that originate it.
